Our work
Matrix is a unique partnership since it incorporates specialist BME, LSVT, rural, co-operative, inner city, and care and support housing associations. The Matrix experience demonstrates that partnerships can retain the historic capital of individual member associations while being as cost-effective as large, merged associations through pooled resources and development of top-tier development approaches and joint procurement vehicles. Relishing the independence of members, therefore, is a core Matrix principle.
Matrix members have identified a number of priorities for the future which we wish to collectively address and which could be adapted to suit individual association’s aims and objectives:
- Delivering the green agenda
- Securing diversity, equality and social justice
- Resident leadership, engagement, involvement and control
- Closing the affordability gap
- Building sustainable communities
- Care and support for now and the future, including:
- solutions for elderly care
- solutions for other needs groups
- future proofing care and support
- joint campaigning on major policy and operational changes and challenges
- Tackling homelessness
- Excellence in delivery
- Tackling worklessness and social mobility
